Persistence In Small Things Helps

I’ve found the small things work! Consistent, persistent, effort over time lifts me up through whatever happens. Persistence is within  purpose for me; passion, indeed a solution to many things.

Persistence involves work.
That’s right: work!

For example, the work of reading helps me grow.

I learn interesting new information.

I get practice in how to focus my mind.

I gain focus, the ability to be disciplined.

Reading is a type of work that helps me.

I’m doing small things to build up my skills as I face hugely challenging times now. Health and the stuff that comes with too long of health challenges.

What can you do within whatever you face to gain the types of skills and abilities that you want to be able to use in your future?

Think about what you want.

Then examine what you might be able to do about that right here and now.

What’s next?

I encourage you to start doing small aspects of the kinds of things you want to become capable of doing.

Dare to imagine what you want to be able to do…

Then break it down into small, yet in some way related, well, pieces that may be smaller versions of what you really want longer-term. Pick one…

When you get through to the other side of today’s challenges, what do you wish your life will be like?

What can you do today that may bring you closer to that? Think. Then pick one thing and do it!
