Cynthia Ann Leighton: Encouraging You!

Hello, Cynthia Ann Leighton here. I give the example of babies sometimes.

Because that’s a time when there’s lots of people encouraging!

When a baby’s learning to stand up, even to sit up, it’s a celebration for the people around.

When baby learns to take a step, and falls down?

There’s encouragement given from all the people around.

As adults? Well, not so much.

We don’t get that level of encouragement.

But you know what? You can give it to yourself.

You can remind yourself – as you face a brand-new challenge today – that you’ve faced brand-new challenges in the past.

And learned to deal with them!

Learned to manage them! For whatever it took.

And whatever, well, there were parts that you could control.

And to some extent, confidence is accepting that there are going to be things that are out of our control.

And that we need to focus on something else.

Sometimes we have to let go of the things that are out of our control and seek out new life, so to speak.

New energy!

New people and things to bring into our lives!

What can you do to nurture yourself today?

What would be useful in encouraging you?
