Step to happiness that really works

This is a hard earned lesson I paid for with the proverbial blood, sweat and tears.

It’s a humble little lesson that comes from surviving repeated disasters and learning to thrive… anyway.

It’s a view from the mountain top, in the clear air of knowing how to thrive and thereby be happy.

Today is an adventure.

That’s simple, isn’t it? But it’s deep enough to work for you.

When I dare to look at today as an adventure, do you know what I get out of it?

I get a new outlook. Because I dare to look at my challenges with a willingness to explore.

That attitude tends to lift me up just a little bit. Just enough of a lift up to help me figure out “What’s Next?!” in a way that leads to today being a journey that moves forward in a happier way.

Yes, I find that the simple willingness to step into my challenges each day by recognizing that today is an adventure… works!! Maybe my adventure through the perils of life threatening health challenges isn’t as exciting as the folks pushing off the starting block at an Olympic event or the people reaching the summit of Mt. Everest.

But it’s my adventure and that makes it more valuable because it is my Olympic event today and it is my Mt. Everest summit today. Who knows, I may help someone else today in a unique way that changes their life simply by me living the adventure of today my own best little way.

I invite you to embark on today as an adventure!
